NASHVILLE, TN – Senior Angela Troyer (Sugarcreek, Ohio) enjoyed another night of solid offensive production but it wasn't enough as Ohio Dominican women's basketball fell to Trevecca Nazarene 68-62 Thursday evening in Nashville.

The senior led all scorers with 21 points and was 8-of-15 (53%) from the field. Troyer played a pivotal role in orchestrating a 9-0 run after the Panthers founds themselves behind on the scoreboard early.

Both teams traded baskets throughout the first half but the Panthers managed to recapture the lead off of a three-point field goal from Troyer with 5:38 remaining in the second quarter. The senior received help from classmate Olivia Fox (Newark, Ohio) who finished the game with 12 points and 13 rebounds on the way to grabbing her first double-double of the season and third of her career. Junior Kennedy Schlabach (Millersburg, Ohio) chipped in 14 points and added a game-high six assists.

The contest went all-the-way down to the wire as sophomore Celeste Mershimer (Amanda, Ohio) tied the game at 60-60 with just under three minutes remaining. Unfortunately for the Black and Gold the Trojans went on an 8-0 run at the wrong time as they closed out the game strong to seal the victory.

It's a quick turnaround for the Panthers as they head to Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon. Tip-off for that game is scheduled for 1 p.m.
