  • ODU shot under 30 percent in the first half, while the Pioneers were 16-for-29 from the field (.552).

  • Malone used its full court pressure defensively to build on its first half lead. The Pioneers pushed their advantage to 18 points at the intermission.

  • Malone scored on its first two possessions out of the break to take its largest lead of the game, 21 points, at 44-23 with 19 minutes remaining.

  • A 9-0 scoring run, capped by a Szul triple, pulled ODU within 10 points, 59-49, with 9:04 to play.

  • The Panthers though, could never close their deficit to single digits down the stretch.

UP NEXT

  • Ohio Dominican's future will be determined when the final G-MAC Points System Rating announcement is made official on Sunday, Feb. 28. The Panthers will need to be in the top eight of the standings to advance to the postseason tournament.
