COLUMBUS, Ohio – Five Panthers finished the game with double figures in scoring as Ohio Dominican women's basketball extended its home winning streak to 14 consecutive games. The Black and Gold claimed an impressive 87-69 victory over Hillsdale College Monday evening. The victory also keeps the Black and Gold unbeaten when competing on Monday's this season and 5-1 all-time under head coach Lynsey Warren.
Junior Alli Kern (Waterford, Ohio) finished the contest with a career-high 18 points. Kern also knocked down a career-best six three-point field goals throughout the afternoon. She finished the game strong, scoring half of her total scoring output during the final quarter and going three-of-five from the field.
She spoke with Sports Information Director Ralph Schudel following the contest.
Senior Olivia Fox (Newark, Ohio) finished just shy of securing a triple-double as she scored 10 points, dished out seven assists, and grabbed eight boards. Fox's eight rebounds secured her a new career-best, beating her previous career-high of five-set earlier this season against Tiffin on January 23.
It was another strong performance for Angela Troyer (Sugarcreek, Ohio) as she looks to bolster her Great Midwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year resume. The senior tallied 20 points, secured three rebounds and had three assists in the win. Troyer also shot 50-percent from the field and 50-percent from behind-the-arc. It also marks the sixth time in seven appearances she has led the Black and Gold in scoring.
Kennedy Schlabach (Millersburg, Ohio) collected her fourth double-double of the season and second in three games. The junior finished the game with 19 points and 10 assists. Schlabach was a spark plug for a lively Panthers offense that enjoyed a 20-11 advantage in fast-break points.
Monday's win ties the Panthers for the ninth-best winning streak in the nation and the best in the G-MAC.
Olivia Fox enjoyed a tremendous afternoon inside of Alumni Hall. Coming into the early week contest she averaged 11.5 points-per-game. Her career-best rebound mark only adds to her career senior season.
ODU enjoys a few days off as the Panthers will look to extend their unbeaten streak to 15 games when they welcome Lake Erie to Alumni Hall on February 20. Tip-off for the game is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
