Box Score COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican women's basketball team fell to #11 Ashland University in its Great Midwest Athletic Conference opening contest on Thursday evening by the score of 77-53.
Senior forward Olivia Fox (Newark, Ohio) was recognized during the first media timeout as she became the all-time leader in games played in the Division II era with 112. She followed up that recognition by turning in her best performance of the season, leading the Black and Gold with 20 points and eight rebounds.
Fox was quick out of the gates scoring six points in the opening two quarters to finish with 12 points to end the half and finished the day with a season-high 20 points.
Classmate Bailey Williams (Dublin, Ohio) finished in double figures for the fifth consecutive contest, scoring 10 points. Freshman Brynn Mullet (Berlin, Ohio) tied her career-high in points scored with ten. The dynamic freshman also was 2-of-3 from beyond the arc, scoring quality baskets from distance when called upon.
Two freshman newcomers made their debut as Lindsey Sauerland (Lebanon, Ohio) and Shannon Wojciak (Medina, Ohio) earned their first minutes as collegiate student-athletes.
