Box Score COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican women's soccer team extended its winning streak to three games with a 3-0 victory over Tiffin University on Saturday night.
ODU opened the scoring in the 12th minute when Bailey Sedlak (Bellbrook, Ohio) threaded a pass to junior Callan Myers (Hillsboro, Ohio), springing her into the final third. The third-year forward converted her opportunity to give the hosts a 1-0 advantage.
Tiffin attempted to answer back quickly but were denied on three separate occasions by goalkeeper Jadelyn McNerney (Springboro, Ohio). The second-year goalkeeper made six saves en route to her third consecutive clean sheet of the campaign.
The Black and Gold looked to extend its lead in the second half as Makenna Greer (Pickerington, Ohio) got the first scoring opportunity for the Panthers. The junior forced an early save from goalkeeper Malea Nelson.
ODU got its second goal of the afternoon as a brilliant passing combination from Myers found Sedlak, and finished with Samantha Buck (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) burying the opportunity into the back of the net to double the Panther lead to 2-0.
Freshman Ryanne Buck (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) also influenced the contest with numerous scoring attempts. She combined with her sister (Samantha) in the 79th minute to earn the second goal of her young collegiate career.
Samantha slipped a pass in behind the Dragons backline, finding the feet of Ryanne, and the freshman made the most of her opportunity to extend the lead to 3-0. McNerney and the Panther defense held firm to lift the Black and Gold to the victory.
