Box Score COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio Dominican's men's basketball team used a 54-3 run from the 11:09 mark of the first half to the 17:06 mark of the second half to secure a 107-66 victory against Wright St.-Lake in the final nonconference contest of the season Saturday afternoon in Alumni Hall.
The Panthers now advance to 11-12 overall on the season while the Lakers drop to 4-19.
All nine active players entered the scoresheet today for the Panthers as seniors Hasan Varence (Queens, New York) and Sam Hickey (Toledo, Ohio) led the way each scoring 19 points with Varence clinching his 12th double-double of the season grabbing 10 rebounds.
Redshirt freshman Ethan Haynes (Florence, Ky.) had 17 points while grabbing six rebounds and Shawn Moore (Indianapolis, Ind.) scored a career-high 15 points and tallied six rebounds. Freshman Sean Marks (Delaware, Ohio) finished with 13 points, all in the first half and a career-high six rebounds. Sophomore Caleb Strohmeier (Edwardsville, Ill.) also finished with a career-high 11 points and five rebounds.
Michael Scott (Hebron, Ky.) was once again the floor general leading the Panthers with eight assists while grabbing six rebounds and Arius Jones (Lansing, Mich.) finished with eight rebounds and six assists with each scoring two points.
ODU shot 53.8% on the afternoon (43-for-80) and 40.6% (13-for-32) from behind the arc whole holding the Lakers to just 35.3% shooting (24-for-68) and 32.6% (15-for-46) from behind the arc.
The Panthers outscored the Lakers 60-16 in the paint and had 23 second chance points. ODU also got a season-high in bench points of 48.
ODU will return to G-MAC action when they travel to Findlay on Thursday, February 13 with tip set for 7:30 p.m.
