Women's Soccer Earns Shutout Win Over Trevecca

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Ohio Dominican's women's soccer team defeated Trevecca Nazarene by a final score of 1-0 in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference matchup in Nashville.

With the win, ODU advances to 4-3 overall and 2-1 in the G-MAC while Trevecca drops to 2-4-2 overall and 2-1-0 in the conference.

After 40 minutes of scoreless soccer, freshman Callan Myers (Hillsboro, Ohio) scored her first collegiate goal on an assist from senior Lindsey Sullivan (Marysville, Ohio).

The Panthers were able to maintain that 1-0 advantage led by freshman goalkeeper Cecilia Kuntz (Berlin, Germany). Kuntz earns her second career shutout making all three saves on the three shots she faced.

Sophomore Katlyn Jamiel (Wilmington, Ohio) had three shots, two on goal while five other Panthers had at least one shot. ODU outshot the Trojans 15-8 on the contest while Trevecca had the 4-3 advantage on corner kicks.

ODU will be back in action on Thursday, October 3 hosting Alderson Broaddus at 5 p.m. at Panther Stadium.
