Women's Basketball Suffers Setback At Miami

OXFORD, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's women's basketball team dropped a 74-29 decision to Miami (Ohio) on Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore Angela Troyer (Sugarcreek, Ohio) led the Panthers with six points and seven rebounds. Freshman Alli Kern (Waterford, Ohio) also pulled down seven boards off the bench, while freshman Kennedy Schlabach (Millersburg, Ohio) had three steals. Troyer and sophomore Alexa Fisher (Powell, Ohio) also had two steals apiece.

ODU limited the RedHawks to 41.3 percent shooting and just 5-of-17 (29.4 percent) from three, but Miami was able to grab 22 offensive rebounds and had a 52-39 edge on the glass. The Panthers also shot just 24.6 percent and went 1-of-19 from behind the arc.

Ohio Dominican returns home to play host to Ohio Valley at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5 in Alumni Hall.
