Women's Basketball Falls On Road At Walsh

NORTH CANTON, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's women's basketball team couldn't get any momentum generated on the offensive end as the Panthers fell 78-39 to Walsh on Thursday.

ODU, which entered the game leading the nation in three-point percentage and tops in the G-MAC in field goal percentage, made just 1-of-18 threes and shot 26 percent from the field in the setback.

Junior guard Alexa Fisher (Powell, Ohio) and sophomore guard Angela Troyer (Sugarcreek, Ohio) led the Panthers with 10 points apiece. Troyer grabbed seven rebounds and Fisher had five. Sophomore forward Taylor Harazin (Aurora, Ill.) came off the bench and scored eight points with eight rebounds.

ODU grabbed 19 offensive rebounds in the game but managed just six second chance points, and the Panthers had a 46-44 rebounding edge on the Cavaliers as well.

Ohio Dominican remains on the road to take on Malone at 1 p.m. Saturday.
