MIDLAND, Mich. — For the third time in the last two years, Ohio Dominican's women's soccer team defeated Northwood, earning a 4-2 road victory on Sunday afternoon.

The Panthers (3-2-0, 1-0-0 G-MAC) have won three of their last four matches and have outscored their opponents 7-2 in wins this year.

With three first half goals, ODU recorded its most goals scored in a half in a road match since a 5-0 victory over Northwood on September 20, 2015.

Ohio Dominican held a 16-5 advantage in shots with a 9-3 edge in shots on goal over the Timberwolves.

Sophomore defender Cheyenne Story (Canfield, Ohio) notched her first career goal while also dishing out an assist, both coming on free kicks. Senior forward Alli Pavlik (Cortland, Ohio) scored her third goal of the year and 22nd of her career, moving into sixth all-time in career goals scored in Ohio Dominican women's soccer history. Junior Jenna Fodor (Hilliard, Ohio) and freshman Ci'ara Crosby (Ashland, Ohio) also scored their first career goals for the Panthers.

Story struck first for Ohio Dominican in the 19th minute, scoring on a free kick from past midfield to give ODU a 1-0 lead.

Seven minutes later, Pavlik found the back of the net on a penalty kick to increase Ohio Dominican's advantage to 2-0 in the 26th minute.

Leading 2-1 in the 43rd minute, Story would once again create a scoring opportunity from a free kick, this time finding Fodor for a header to put the Panthers ahead by two goals again, 3-1.

Crosby got in on the scoring action in the 82nd minute, scoring her first career goal to increase the ODU lead to 4-1.

ODU held Northwood to just two shots in the second half, earning the 4-2 victory.

The Panthers resume Great Midwest Athletic Conference play on Thursday when they host Ursuline at 7 p.m. at Panther Stadium.
