ASHLAND, Ohio — Ohio Dominican's women's soccer team dropped its first match since September 18 after falling 3-0 at Ashland in a GLIAC contest on Sunday afternoon.

The Panthers (4-4-4, 3-1-2 GLIAC) drop their first GLIAC match of the year in the loss after winning or tying in their last five consecutive GLIAC matches. Allowing just two goals during that span, the Panther defense saw Ashland (7-1-3, 4-1-1 GLIAC) score three goals in Sunday's match.

ODU tied Ashland 8-8 in corner kicks and the Panther goalkeepers held a 5-3 advantage in saves over the Eagles.

Junior Alli Pavlik (Cortland, Ohio) finished with five total shots and two shots on goal. Sophomore Jenna Fodor (Hilliard, Ohio) also finished with one shot on goal for Ohio Dominican.

Junior Kelsey Harris (Mason, Ohio) recorded three saves and allowed just one goal in 45 minutes of action. Harris boasts a save percentage of .891 through 12 matches.

Goals in the 22nd and 30th minutes for Ashland gave the Eagles a 2-0 lead in the first half.

In the 34th minute, Pavlik attempted a header shot that deflected off the post for Ohio Dominican, which trailed 2-0 at halftime.

Just 11 minutes into the second half, Ashland would add its third goal of the game to take a decisive 3-0 lead in the 56th minute.

The Panthers had another strong scoring opportunity in the 84th minute, when a shot by Pavlik once again hit the post. Ashland would limit ODU's chances for the rest of the match, earning a 3-0 victory.

ODU will hit the pitch again on Friday, October 14 when it travels to No. 1 Grand Valley State for the second time in 2016.
