FINDLAY, Ohio — Junior Alli Pavlik (Cortland, Ohio) found the back of the net twice to push Ohio Dominican's women's soccer team past Findlay 4-0 on Friday.
With the win, Ohio Dominican (6-6-5, 5-3-3 GLIAC) earned the right to host a first round GLIAC tournament match, and will face Northwood on Tuesday at 4 p.m. in a GLIAC tournament quarterfinal contest at Panther Stadium. The Panthers are the No. 4 seed in the tournament, while the Timberwolves are the No. 5 seed.
ODU held a 12-8 advantage in shots and a 7-2 edge in shots on goal.
Pavlik scored her eighth and ninth goals of the season, moving her into seventh place in the GLIAC in goals scored. Sophomore Susan D'Isidoro (Twinsburg, Ohio) recorded one assist, her fourth of the season. Senior Kelly Johnson (Berea, Ohio) notched a goal on two shots on goal, and senior Madison Baldwin (Zanesville, Ohio) also notched a goal on two shots on goal.
Sophomore goalkeeper Marissa Wierzbicki (Powell, Ohio) logged 45 minutes of action in the net, earning her fifth Panther victory on the season. Junior Kelsey Harris (Mason, Ohio) recorded two saves in 28 minutes.
Pavlik's first goal came at the 16:26 mark in the first half, as she took an assist from senior Emily Riviello (Huber Heights, Ohio) and found the left corner of the goal to put the Panthers up 1-0.
Later in the half, senior Kelly Johnson (Berea, Ohio) took an assist from D'isidoro and also found the left corner, scoring at the 34:00 mark for her fourth goal of the year, putting the Panthers up 2-0 at halftime.
Senior Madison Baldwin (Zanesville, Ohio) opened up the scoring in the second half, notching her third goal of the season at the 46:50 mark to put ODU up 3-0.
Then at 66:41,Pavlik added her second goal of the game, scoring from the far post and giving the Panthers the 4-0 lead and victory.
ODU defeated Northwood 2-1 in the regular season on Sept. 23 at Panther Stadium.
