COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's women's basketball team suffered an 87-67 setback to No. 12 Wayne State Saturday afternoon in Alumni Hall.

The Warriors grabbed 21 offensive rebounds, leading to 24 second chance points, while ODU did not score a second chance point on 12 offensive rebounds. Wayne State also outscored ODU 46-28 in the paint.

The Panthers fell behind 41-24 at halftime but shot 57.1 percent in the second half, hitting 16-of-28 from the field, but they could only draw as close as 12 points on several occasions.

Senior guard Kacee Hockenberry (Haviland, Ohio) scored 20 points, while classmate Micaela Liddane (Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich.) added 10 points with four assists. Sophomore forward Jackie Oestreich (Brighton, Mich.) finished with eight points and seven rebounds.

Overall, the Panthers shot 41.9 percent from the field (26-of-62) while Wayne State shot 33-of-68 (48.5 percent).

Ohio Dominican is at Walsh at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
