COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Dominican women's soccer team tied conference leader, No. 21 ranked Saginaw Valley in a double overtime GLIAC match up at Panther Stadium.  

The Panthers improve to 5-2-1 overall (2-0-1 GLIAC) and run their unbeaten streak to six matches. The Cardinals improve to 6-0-1 overall (3-0-1 GLIAC).

ODU had the shot advantage for the game as they recorded 22 shots, seven on net. SVSU charted seven total shots, with three being on goal.

The Panthers came out looking to score early as they had the first two shots of the game, both having to be saved. Though ODU took 11 shots in the first half, they were unable to find the back of the net. The two teams went into the break 0-0.

 The second half, much like the first, saw the Panthers get opportunities but again, ODU could not fool the Cardinal goalkeeper.

In the first overtime session freshman Allison Pavlik (Cortland, OH) had the best opportunity of the match hitting the right post on shot from inside the box. Neither team could score, as the match ended with a 0-0 tie.

Junior Amanda Fowler (Mansfield, OH) led the Panthers in shots with six. Pavlik recorded five shots, while sophomore Madison Baldwin (Zanesville, OH) charted four shots.

Freshman goalkeeper Kelsey Harris (Mason, OH) logged her second consecutive shutout.

ODU will be traveling to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan next weekend as they travel to Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan. The Panthers will be at Michigan Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September October 3.
