Box Score HILLSDALE, Mich. – Ohio Dominican's men's basketball team dropped its second straight game, falling 87-56 at Hillsdale Saturday in GLIAC play.
The Panthers fell to 5-16 (3-14 GLIAC) , while Hillsdale moved to 14-7 (10-7 GLIAC).
The Panthers trailed 19-13 nine minutes into the game after senior guard Ledarius Stennis (Moss Point, Miss.) buried a deep three-pointer, but Hillsdale answered with a 10-2 burst to grab a 29-15 advantage with 7:41 left.
Two three-pointers by sophomore guard Chad Nelson (Columbus, Ohio) helped ODU stay within 10, 35-25 with just under four minutes left, but the Chargers closed the half with an 8-1 run to go in front 43-26 at the break.
Hillsdale hit 17-of-23 shots (73.4 percent) in the first half to build that 17-point advantage, and the Chargers maintained a double-digit cushion in the second half.
Sophomore guard Mark Minch (West Chester, Ohio) scored a team-high 11 points, while Stennis grabbed six rebounds.
Ohio Dominican returns to action at 7:30 p.m. Thursday against Walsh.
