COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Ohio Dominican men's basketball team dropped the second game of the weekend, falling to GLIAC foe Hillsdale 75-65.

The Panthers fell to 1-5 overall (0-2 GLIAC) with the loss. The Chargers stayed unbeaten on the season, improving to 4-0 overall (2-0 GLIAC).

Junior Mark Minch (West Chester, OH) led the Panthers in scoring, recording all 16 of his points in the first half. Junior Trent Weaver (Columbus, OH) added 11 points, and grabbed a team high eight rebounds. Freshman Ronnie Williams (Columbus, OH) was the third Panther in double figures, scoring 10 points on four-of-six shooting.

Another freshman, Shemar Waugh (Columbus, OH) scored five points, while setting a career high eight assists.

As a team, ODU shot 48 percent (24-50) from the field, while HC shot 52 percent (26-50). The Panthers outscored the Chargers 20-17 in bench scoring, and 34-32 in points in the paint.

The Panthers came out hot, making four of their first five shots to take their largest lead of the contest at 8-2.

The Chargers took their first lead of the half at 16-15 with 10:52 to play in the opening half. ODU then led for most of the remaining 10 minutes of the opening half, but it was HC which took a 32-31 lead into the break. The Black and Gold shot 54.2 percent (13-24) from the field in the opening 20 minutes.

ODU was able to take a 44-42 lead after a three pointer from Reece Dils (Saline, MI) with 12:24 remaining. This would be the last lead for ODU however, as HC took their largest lead at 67-54 with just over three minutes to play.

The Panthers will be back in action at 3 p.m. next Sunday afternoon. ODU will be traveling to Ferris State for their first GLIAC road contest of the season.
