CEDARVILLE, OH -- The Ohio Dominican men's basketball team dropped its second game at the Don Callan Classic, as they lost 66-55 to Alderson-Broaddus.

With the loss, the Panthers (0-2) drop both games at the classic hosted by Cedarville. The Battlers improve to 1-1 on the season.

Junior Mark Minch (West Chester, OH) led the Panthers with 14 points, shooting 7-14 from the field. Minch also grabbed four rebounds. Another junior, Trent Weaver (Columbus, OH), added 13 points, while recording five rebounds.

The Panthers shot 21-49 (42.9%) from the field, making four three point attempts. ABU finished the game with 26 made field goals on 49 shots, for a .531 shooting percentage.

The Battlers jumped out to an early 7-0 lead in the first three minutes of the game. In the remainder of the first half the Panthers were able to cut the deficit to four on three occasions, including a 25-21 deficit heading into the break.

The theme remained constant in the second half as ABU came out strong, gaining a 30-21 advantage with 18:47 remaining. The Panthers were able to cut the Battlers' lead to five when a Jesse Ward (North Pole, AK) three pointer made the score 60-55 with 2:17 remaining.

However that was as close as the Panthers could get as ABU held on for a 66-55 victory.

The Panthers went 9-10 from the foul line, as Weaver made all seven of his attempts. ODU lost the turnover battle 11-8, while recording just one steal. The Black and Gold continued to share the ball well again as they assisted on 10 of 21 made shots.

ODU will be back in action for the third day in a row as they travel to face Division I opponent, Wright State at 5 p.m. on Sunday.
