SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – Ohio Dominican's women's tennis team couldn't recover from losing all three doubles matches and fell 6-3 at Lake Superior on Saturday.

With the setback, ODU fell to 1-1 (1-1 GLIAC), while the Lakers improved to 1-1 (1-1 GLIAC).

Junior Anita Girizd (Ada, Sebia) and freshman Paula Rodriguez (Postoles, Spain) lost a tight 9-8 (7-3) decision at third doubles as Lake Superior would take the three points.

ODU won straight set decisions at fourth, fifth and sixth singles but it wasn't enough. Freshman Ana Pico (A Coruna, Spain) won 6-2, 6-2, sophomore Regina Camberos (San Luis Potosi, Mexico) took a 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 victory and Rodriguez won 6-2, 6-2 to lead the Panthers.

ODU returns to action at 10 a.m. Sunday against Saginaw Valley.
