COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Dominican women's soccer team (1-1) suffered a 1-0 overtime loss to visiting No. 21 Bellarmine University Sunday afternoon at Panther Field.

The Knights (2-0) controlled the ball and tempo throughout the match as they outshot the Panthers 20-6. ODU's best scoring chance came with just four minutes remaining as senior Jennifer Holton (Johnstown, Ohio) tried to connect off of a free ball but just missed to the left side of the goal.

At the 98:33 mark in the first overtime session, Bellarmine's Allison Menchak connected with the back of the net to seal the win for the Knights..

Sophomore goalie Laura Clark (Lapeer, Mich.) tallied 11 saves for the Black and Gold while the Knights goalie Amy Kunowski collected 4.

ODU resumes action on Wednesday, Sept. 5 when they face off against Urbana. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. at Panther Field.
