Box Score COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican women's soccer team fell 1-0 in its last home game of the regular season to Ashland on a cold, windy Saturday evening.
With the loss, the Panthers fall to 10-6-3 overall with a 6-5-3 record in the GLIAC while the Eagles improve to 8-10-1 overall and 7-6-1 in the GLIAC.
With the score remaining 0-0 going into half, the Eagles held a 6-4 advantage in shots.
After the break, the Eagles' Alexandra Kovarik broke the tie at the 68:34 mark after she chipped the ball into the back left corner of the net for her third goal of the season, giving the Eagles a 1-0 lead.
The Panthers couldn't overcome the one goal deficit as the Eagles held on for the 1-0 win.
Ashland outshot the Panthers 12-10, that included three shots on goal.
Sophomore goalie Laura Clark (Lapeer, Mich.) grabbed three saves in the loss.
