Tiffin (10-3, 5-2 GLIAC) showed no signs of fatigue from its recent excursion to San Juan, Puerto Rico as the Dragons hit 7 of their first 11 shots over the opening 6:10 for the 16-5 advantage. After early turnover woes, ODU (5-8, 1-6 GLIAC) gradually chipped away at the lead and closed to within 20-17 at the 7:53 mark as sophomore Christina Pentaudi (Dayton, OH) capped a 12-4 burst with a deep three from the left wing. The Dragons went back up 11, 29-18 with 42 seconds left before freshman Kacee Hockenberry (Haviland, OH) rattled home a trey for the 29-21 halftime score.
Similar to the first, Tiffin's offensive was clicking to start the second as the Dragons tallied 17 of the half's first 23 points for a 46-27 lead and control of the game. ODU drew no closer than 16 the rest of the way as Tiffin finished the half 13-of-27 on the way to a 25-of-55 (45.5 percent) effort for the day, including 6-of-13 (46.2 percent) on three-pointers and 10-of-12 (83.3 percent) at the stripe.
