AT OHIO DOMINICAN UNIVERSITY

  • Led the Panthers to a 34-22 overall record and a 20-4 conference record.
    • The Black and Gold were regular season G-MAC Champions and the number one seed in the conference tournament.
    • ODU made an appearances in the NCAA Tournament for the third straight year.
    • Vanlandingham coached six players to All-Conference Honors, including Player of the Year, one NFCA Division II All-Midwest Regional First Team honoree, and two D2CCA All-Midwest Region Team members.
    • Was awarded 2023 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Coach of the Year.
    • She reached the 800 win milestone with a pair at Ursuline College.
    • Vanlandingham is the 16th active Division II head coach to reach 800 wins.
  • In 2022, the Black and Gold went 35-19 with an impressive 19-3 finish the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.
    • The Panthers won their second consecutive G-MAC Softball tournament, making another appearance in the NCAA Division II Midwest Region tournament.
  • During the 2021 season, ODU went 30-18 overall and 13-9 in the conference. 
    • The Panthers were seeded sixth in the G-MAC tournament, going undefeated to win the tournament, securing a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
    • The Black adn Gold went 2-2 int he Midwest Regional that season.
  • In the 2019 season, Vanlandingham reached the 700 win milestone in a win against Lake Erie in the final regular-season game of the season.
    • That game also clinched her first G-MAC title since joining the league in 2017.
  • In 2014, Vanlandingham guided the Panthers to the team’s first GLIAC regular season title as ODU completed conference play with a 21-5 record.
    • ODU competed in the GLIAC tournament as the number one seed and finished as the tournament runner-up.
    • Vanlandingham and the Panthers earned the right to play in the NCAA Regional tournament, their first appearance in school history.
    • For the team’s performance during the 2014 campaign, Vanlandingham was honored as the GLIAC Coach of the Year for the first time.
  • Ushering in the Panthers to the NCAA Division II level in 2011, Vanlandingham led the Panthers to four GLIAC tournaments, a conference tournament championship appearance, a GLIAC regular-season championship, and an NCAA national tournament appearance.
  • Following her arrival at ODU, Vanlandingham quickly turned the softball program into a regional power.
  • Beginning in 2001, she guided the Panthers to a streak of eight consecutive American Mideast Conference titles, including Region IX titles and NAIA World Series appearances in 2002 and 2005.
  • The Panthers have won 10 or more conference games in 14 seasons under Vanlandingham, including a perfect AMC mark of 14-0 and a school-record 45 wins in 2005.

BEFORE OHIO DOMINICAN UNIVERSITY
  • A 1992 graduate of Asbury College (Ky.), Vanlandingham received a degree in physical education.
  • Upon completing her Master's degree in Sports Administration from Eastern Kentucky University in 1994, Vanlandingham returned to her alma mater to teach.
  • During her one year at Asbury, she was also the assistant softball and volleyball coach, before coming to Ohio Dominican in the fall of 1995.
  • A native of Milton, Florida, Vanlandingham served as the AMC softball chair seven times during her 15-year tenure in the conference and was the NAIA Region IX softball from 2007 to 2009.
  • Away from her coaching responsibilities, Vanlandingham also helped initiate the Sport Management undergraduate curriculum at Ohio Dominican.
