Connor Callahan

Connor Callahan enters his fifth year as the school's head cross country and track and field coach after starting on July 17, 2018.

Before coming back to ODU, the former Ohio Dominican cross country and track standout was an assistant coach at Division II Saint Leo University in Florida. Callahan helped guide the Lions to three conference championships and two South Regional titles. Callahan started his Saint Leo career as a graduate assistant before being promoted to full-time assistant coach in 2016.

Callahan helped lead the men's and women's cross country teams at Saint Leo to three straight National Championship appearances from 2015-17. He also helped the school earn their first men's All-American cross country runner in 2016 while having three All-American's on the women's side.

During his time as the assistant track and field coach, the women's team made three straight appearances to the National Championship from 2016-18. Also on the women's side, Callahan coached four-track All-Americans along with having the female runner of the year from 2015-17.

Callahan earned a Bachelor's degree in Sport Management from Ohio Dominican in 2015 before earning his Masters of Business with a Sport Business Concentration in 2017 from Saint Leo. Callahan holds a USATF Level 2 Endurance Certification (2018).
