- Coached eight players to All-Conference honors with three Gold Gloves, a RRAC Player of the Year and one All-American
Served as an assistant coach at California (Pa.) in the infield for the 2022 season
- Had three All-Conference infielders among eight total All-Conference players
Graduate Assistant at Indiana (Pa.) for the 2020 and 2021 seasons as the hitting and catching coach
Was an infielder at Clarion from 2017-20. He totaled nearly 400 at-bats with 125 career starts. Shaffer nearly hit at .300 for the Golden Eagles
Shaffer earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management from Clarion in 2020 and completed his master’s degree in sport management from IUP the following year.
