JOHNSTOWN, Pa. - The Ohio Dominican Panthers men's golf team returned to action after a short break at the Sunnehanna Collegiate, hosted by the University of Pitt-Johnstown on Monday (Sept. 28) and Tuesday (Sept. 29).
Following 54 holes at the Sunnehanna Country Club, the Panthers finished in a 15th place tie. Ohio Dominican totaled 877 (+37) with rounds of 294 (+14), 295 (+15) and 8-over 288. Play was suspended at the end of the second round due to darkness on Monday before the tournament resumed on Tuesday.
The team had one eagle (tied for 5th), 25 birdies and 173 pars (6th most among teams).
- Chase Forsyth - Tied for 9th place with a 54-hole score of 2-over 212 - shot 1-over 71, 5-over 75 and 4-under 66 in the final round
- Tallied the lone eagle in round three, had a team-high eight birdies
- Alex McMahon - Tied for 57th place with a 220 (+10) with individual rounds of 6-over 76, 4-over 74 and even-par 70
- Nathan Menapace - Tied with McMahon in 57th place, scoring 220 (+10) after scores of 1-over 71, 4-over 74, 5-over 75
- Led the team with 39 pars
- Elijah Zimmerman - Finished tied for 82nd place with two rounds of 7-over 77 and a 2-over 72 - totaling 226 (+16)
- CJ Dolan - Shot 231 (+21) in 97th place with rounds of 6-over 76, 8-over 78 and 7-over 77
The team will be in action in over two weeks at the Davenport Panther Invitational.
