BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - The Ohio Dominican Panthers men's golf team went to the Wolverine State for the Ferris State Bulldog Classic, opening the 2026-27 season on Monday (Sept. 14) and Tuesday (Sept. 15).
Playing at Katke Golf Course, the Panthers were sixth of 10 teams with a final score of 889 (+37). On Monday, the Panthers had round scores of 294 (+10) and 298 (+14) before shooting 297 (+13) in the weather delayed final round. The team had one eagle (tied for 4th), 34 birdies (5th) and 148 pars (7th).
- Nathan Menapace - 4th place overall with a 54-hole total of 2-over 215, shooting rounds of even-par 71, 5-over 76 and 3-under 68.
- Notched an eagle in round three with ten birdies (tied for 4th most)
- Alex McMahon - 21st place finish, shooting 224 (+11) in his collegiate debut - scored individual rounds of 4-over 75, even-par 71 and 7-over 78
- Had nine birdies in the tournament (tied for 8th)
- Jonathan Campbell - Tied for 22nd place after tallying a score of 225 (+12), had two rounds of 2-over 73 and a middle round of 7-over 78
- CJ Dolan - Shot 226 (+13) in a 25th place tie after having rounds of 6-over 77, 1-under 70 and 8-over 79 as an individual
- Elijah Zimmerman - Finished tied for 27th place with rounds of 4-over 75, 3-over 74 and 7-over 78 - equaling 227 (+14)
- Chase Forsyth - Tied for 31st place as he compiled a total score of 228 (+15) - 81 (+10), 5-over 76 and a final round of even-par 71
- 35 pars in the tournament (tied for 5th)
- Carter Price - Shot 237 (+24) in a 46th place tie, scored rounds of 7-over 78, 82 (+11) and 6-over 77
- Rune Van Den Bosch - Tallied rounds of 9-over 80, 6-over 77 and 83 (+12) to score 240 (+27) in a 52nd place tie
The team will head to Morgantown, West Virginia for the Charleston The Pines Country Club Collegiate Invitational next week.
