INDIANAPOLIS - For the second time in her career, senior libero
Lauren Dinunzi was honored as the Great Midwest Volleyball South Division Athlete of the Week, announced on Monday (August 31).
During a 2-1 weekend at the Ray Thrasher Classic in Nashville, Dinunzi led the defensive efforts for the Black and Gold.
Over three matches (11 sets), Dinunzi led the team with 44 digs as she averaged four digs per set. She had four service aces during the weekend - all coming in the Christian Brothers match. In the opening match against Alabama-Huntsville, Dinunzi tallied 21 digs with 15 more in the CBU match. During the three set sweep of host Trevecca Nazarene, Dinunzi paced the Panthers with eight digs.
Dinunzi was South Division Athlete of the Week on October 21, 2024 - her first honor of her career.
