COLUMBUS, Ohio - Senior pole vaulter
Peyton Proffitt has qualified for the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships for the second straight year. As announced on Tuesday (May 12) afternoon, Proffitt will compete in Emporia, Kansas next week in the Women's Pole Vault.
After Proffitt qualified for nationals last season, there have been four Panther appearances at the national meet.
Justin Carroll (Outdoor 2018) and
Cole Miller (Indoor 2024) have joined Proffitt from Ohio Dominican to make it.
Proffitt was a four-time national qualifier in the pole vault between indoor and outdoor track & field at Otterbein with four All-American honors. She competed last season and did not mark in her fifth career appearance.
The championships will be held May 21-23 in Emporia, Kansas at the Zola Witten Track at Francis G. Welch Stadium. Emporia State University will serve as the host site. The women's pole vault will take place on Thursday, May 21st at 4:00 PM Eastern.
