COLUMBUS, OH - With just two weeks remaining before the G-MAC Tournament in Akron, Ohio Dominican continued conference play by hosting Hillsdale for a doubleheader on Sunday. The Panthers split the series, taking game one 5–4 in walk-off fashion before falling 3–1 in game two.
Game One (W, 5-4)
In the opener, freshman Alyvia Lawrentz evened her record at .500, pitching a complete game while allowing four runs on nine hits. Erica Massey led the offense, going 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a walk. Avery Mueller added two RBIs as Ohio Dominican totaled eight hits.
The Panthers struck first in the second inning when Kendrick Sterling's sacrifice bunt brought home Mueller for a 1–0 lead. They added another in the third as Mueller delivered an RBI double to score Massey.
Hillsdale answered with a two-run home run in the fourth to tie the game, but ODU quickly responded. Sterling led off with a single, and after advancing on a bunt, Halina Schulte singled to set the stage for Addie Triplett's two-RBI double, giving the Panthers a 4–3 advantage.
The Chargers tied the game again in the seventh with a two-out RBI double. In the bottom half, Massey sparked the offense with a leadoff double, moved to third on a flyout, and scored the game-winning run on Mueller's walk-off infield hit to secure a 5–4 victory.
Game Two (L, 3-1)
In game two, sophomore Emma Grau pitched a complete game, allowing three runs on nine hits. Massey once again led the offense, finishing 2-for-3 with the team's only RBI, while Lindsay Russell added a pinch-hit single and scored the lone run.
Hillsdale took control early, scoring two runs in the third and adding another in the fourth to build a 3–0 lead. Ohio Dominican threatened in the sixth when Russell singled and later scored on an error with Massey at the plate, but the Panthers couldn't close the gap, falling 3–1.

Ohio Dominican now turns its focus to a road doubleheader against Findlay (29–9) on Wednesday, with first pitch set for 3 and 5 p.m. at Anderson Field.
