COLUMBUS, OH – The Ohio Dominican Panthers (11-13, 6-10) carried momentum from their last game to cruise past the Findlay Oilers (14-10, 10-7) in a statement victory, 67-43.

Jenna Shackleford led all starters with 19 points on 8-of-16 (50%) shooting, while also adding six rebounds and three assists. Jazmyn Wheeler was the most efficient performer, adding 19 of her own points on 8-of-12 (66.7%) shooting from the field, while also leading the team in rebounds, collecting eight. Macy Chapman continued with her relentless effort on defense, netting a team-high four steals. Rebounding was key to the Panther's win as they dominated, 44-29 after four quarters.
How It Happened
ODU started off hot with a 9-0 scoring run with 5:23 left in the first quarter. The Panthers cooled off but kept pushing the pace for a 14-6 lead at the end of the period.
The second quarter was challenging for the Panthers as Findlay would bring the game to within one point at the 5:07 mark, 20-19. Shackleford and Wheeler helped respond by scoring points after the media timeout to push ODU to a 30-23 halftime lead.
In the third quarter, the Panthers were most efficient, shooting 7-of-13 (53.8%) from the field, including 2-of-3 from deep. Findlay would shoot 6-of-16 (37.5%) from the field, allowing the Panthers to secure a 50-40 lead.
Ohio Dominican dominated in the fourth quarter, especially defensively as they outscored the Oilers 17-3. Findlay would go cold from the field, and the Panthers would take advantage, shooting 7-of-15 from the field to close out on a 67-43 victory.
