Pepper Pike, Ohio - The Ohio Dominican women's soccer team lost to the Arrows from Ursuline in a 2-0 match on Thursday, October 8th.
The Panthers took some great shots throughout the match with the Arrows, but ultimately could not find the back of the net. Ursuline struck twice in the first half. The first goal came from Maria Saavedra in the 28th minute, and Loreley Maier scored about 12 minutes after bringing the score 2-0. The second half of the game was offensively silent from both teams. Ohio Dominican outshot Ursuline 12-9. The Panthers had seven shots on goal while the Arrows had three shots on goal, two of which landed in the net. Ursuline led in corner kicks with eight, while Ohio Dominican had three. Both teams played an aggressive game, the Arrows tallied 14 fouls, and the Panthers had nine. Emma French had three shots for the Panthers, Kayla Brandon and Ali Mathis each had two shots. Lucy Ewing, Mallory Smucker, Sophia Ralofsky, Randi Morgan, and Kerinne Mueller all also took a shot for the Panthers.Â
The Panthers return home on Saturday, October 10th where they will host Northwood at 8:00 p.m.Â
