COLUMBUS, OH - The Ohio Dominican women's soccer team kicked off their 2025 season on home turf at Panther Stadium, facing off against East Coast Conference opponent Roberts Wesleyan, also known as the Redhawks. The match ended in a 1-1 draw, marking the Panthers' first tie of the season. 

Senior Raegan Kinne opened the scoring for ODU in the 7th minute, netting the team's first goal of the year off a corner kick assist from junior Atenas Ramirez. Roberts Wesleyan responded in the 59th minute with an equalizer from Cami Brescia, assisted by Mackenzie Hagen. 

The Panthers held a slight edge in offensive pressure, outshooting the Redhawks 12-10 and registering eight shots on goal compared to RWU's three. ODU also led in corner kicks, earning five to the Redhawks' two. The match was physical throughout, with the Panthers committing 12 fouls to RWU's seven. Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Ella Schnitzer made her debut in goal for ODU, recording two saves.
