INDIANAPOLIS, IN - After a busy week competing against Fairmont State, #23 Findlay, and Kentucky Wesleyan, Ohio Dominican volleyball setter Saige Avery was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) South Division Volleyball Athlete of the Week—Ohio Dominican's second such honor this season and her career first. 

Avery played in all ten sets during the week, recording 23 kills, 59 assists, 29 digs, and 3 block assists. She averaged 2.3 kills and 5.9 assists per set with a .231 attack percentage across three games. Highlighting her performance, Avery posted a triple-double against Fairmont State, recording 13 kills, 18 assists, and 12 digs, along with three aces and two blocks—making it the only triple-double recorded by a G-MAC athlete this season. 

On Saturday, Avery reached a major milestone, notching her 2,000th career assist during the second set against Kentucky Wesleyan. She reached her 1,000th assist as a sophomore in the G-MAC quarterfinals. 

Avery and the Ohio Dominican volleyball team now turn their focus to another G-MAC week, facing Lake Erie in Painesville on September 30 before hosting the Tiffin Dragons on October 4.
