Men's Soccer Fall to Lake Erie in Saturday Night Matchup

COLUMBUS, OH - The Ohio Dominican men's soccer team hosted the Lake Erie Storm on Saturday night under the lights at Panther Stadium. Despite a hard-fought effort, the Black and Gold fell to the Storm, 3-0.

Lake Erie controlled much of the match, outshooting the Panthers 11-5 and leading in corner kicks, 8-4. Both goalkeepers recorded one save, with ODU's Joseph Deitering allowing three goals—one in the first half and two in the second.

Veron Fongeh led the Panthers with two shots, while Ean Encarnacion, Evan Reppeto, and Logan French each added one. The game was physical throughout, with Lake Erie committing 15 fouls, compared to three fouls and three yellow cards for ODU.

The Storm struck early, with Ido Omaysi scoring in the 11th minute off an assist from Lucas Howe. In the second half, Lake Erie extended its lead with two quick goals—Jack Bole found the back of the net in the 71st minute, assisted by Glory Hser and Gabriele Argint, followed shortly by a strike from Veljko Radovanovic.
