COLUMBUS, OH - The Ohio Dominican men's soccer team hosted another non-conference matchup at Panther Stadium, this time facing former Great Midwest Athletic Conference opponent Trevecca Nazarene University. The Panthers fell to the Trojans, 2-0, after 90 minutes of play.
On the pitch, Trevecca outshot ODU 13-9, with 10 of their shots coming in the first half and three in the second. The Panthers managed three shots in the first half and increased their efforts with eight in the second. TNU also held the edge in shots on goal, 9-4.
Corner kick opportunities were nearly even, with Trevecca earning four to Ohio Dominican's five. The match was physical on both sides, with each team committing 11 fouls and a total of four yellow cards issued. Senior goalkeeper Gannon Graf earned his first start of the season, recording seven saves—six in the first half and one in the second.
Trevecca struck early, scoring in the 11th minute on a right-footed shot by Daniel Shiel, assisted by Chris Douglas. Just 20 minutes later, Luke Tedder added another goal to give the Trojans a 2-0 lead at halftime. The second half remained scoreless as the Trojans secured their second win of the season, handing ODU its second straight loss.
