COLUMBUS, OH -Â The Ohio Dominican women's basketball team hosted their final game of the season, celebrating the senior class of 2024-25:

Camyrn Pickerill, and
Shannon Wojciak. In a thrilling finish that came down to the last seconds of overtime, the Panthers were defeated by the Yellow Jackets, 80-77.
Senior Gabby Stare led the Panthers with 34 points, six rebounds, and three assists, playing 43 minutes. Senior Brynn Mullet also played 43 minutes, contributing 22 points, eight rebounds, three steals, and one assist. Sarah Ochs added 11 points, four rebounds, and three assists in 40 minutes of play.
The game started with Cedarville jumping to an early 10-0 lead. The Yellow Jackets shot 56.25% from the field, connecting on 9-16 shots, and 42.86% from beyond the arc. Ohio Dominican struggled early, shooting 36.36% from the field (4-11) and failing to score from three-point range, though they went a perfect 100% from the free-throw line. As a result, Cedarville led 21-11 at the end of the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Ohio Dominican bounced back, outscoring Cedarville 16-15. ODU's shooting improved to 40%, while their three-point shooting rose to 20%. Cedarville's field goal shooting dipped to 42.86%, and their three-point shooting dropped to 20%. At halftime, Cedarville led 36-27.
After the break, Cedarville maintained a steady performance, shooting 42.86% from the field and improving their three-point shooting to 28.57%. Ohio Dominican's field goal shooting slightly decreased to 38.46%, but both teams scored 17 points in the third quarter.
In the final quarter of regulation, Ohio Dominican's defense tightened, limiting Cedarville to just eight field goal attempts, of which they made four. Cedarville's three-point shooting was limited to 1-3, but they maintained strong free-throw shooting at 75%. Ohio Dominican shot 33.33% from the field, hitting 2-7 from beyond the arc, but continued their perfect free-throw shooting. A strong 24-point effort in the fourth quarter, combined with limiting Cedarville to 15 points, forced the game into overtime.
In overtime, both teams played hard, but Cedarville pulled ahead with a strong performance. They shot 50% from the field and 83.33% from the free-throw line, outscoring ODU 12-9 in the extra period to secure the 80-77 victory.
With this loss, the Panthers were unable to secure a spot in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference tournament, concluding their season with a 12-16 record and 7-13 in GMAC play.
