COLUMBUS, OH - The (23–5) Ohio Dominican volleyball team wrapped up its regular-season play inside Alumni Hall, celebrating Senior Day with a 3–1 win over the Malone Pioneers.
Across the four sets, the Panthers outperformed the Pioneers in nearly every category, tying only in blocks. ODU posted a .324 attacking percentage, highlighted by a .406 mark in the second set.
All seniors led in key categories. Senior Grace Zinchuk paced the offense with 14 kills and added three blocks at the net. Senior setter Gabrielle Kirker recorded 27 assists and led the service line with four aces. Senior Alyx Snyder added three aces of her own. Senior Jenna Peters led the team with 16 digs, adding 12 kills for a double-double and two blocks. Libero Christen Tarter matched her with 16 digs. Seniors Addy Wade and Bailey Christiansen brought energy at the net as well, contributing five kills and four kills respectively.
SET BREAKDOWN
Set one belonged to Malone, as the Pioneers jumped ahead 10–8 and later used a 5–1 run to go up 17–14. ODU answered with a 7–1 run, but Malone held on in extra points, closing the set with a 3-point burst to win 28–26.
Set two showed far more control from the Panthers, who opened with a dominant 9–0 run behind Chloe Gels at the service line. Two additional 4–0 runs pushed the lead to 21–10, and four straight points secured a 25–11 victory.
Malone challenged again in the third set, keeping it even at 10–10. Kirker then sparked a crucial 7-point run — including four aces — to push ODU ahead 19–14. Malone chipped away, but the Panthers held firm to take the set 25–21.
The Panthers exploded to a 6–0 start in set four, fueled by Snyder at the line. They extended the advantage to 13–3 by mid-set, and a late 5-point run sealed a comfortable 25–10 win.

The victory marks ODU's 13th conference win and improves their home record to 9–1 inside Alumni Hall. Next week, the Great Midwest Volleyball Tournament begins, with a strong chance Ohio Dominican will host a quarterfinal match on Tuesday, November 18. Seedings and brackets are still to be announced.
