Box Score PAINESVILLE, Ohio - The Ohio Dominican men's soccer team traveled to Painesville today to take on the Storm of Lake Erie to begin Great Midwest Athletic Conference play. 

The Panthers fell short to the Storm 3-1 after a full 90 minutes. Lake Erie's Aaron Garrote manufactured the first goal at the 7th minute with an assist by Tomas Fernandez.  

In a quick offensive push, Mamadou Sow scored an equalizer for the Panthers, with an assist by Blaivon James at the 16th minute, making it 1-1. 

In a chippy first half, the Storm scored another goal in the middle of the 28th minute with a header by Oliver Lancaster, assisted by Luke Peperak. Storm led at the half, 2-1.  

At the start of the second half, Lake Erie came out strong to collect their last goal at the 50th minute by forward Luke Peperak with an assist from Kacy Parish. Lake Erie secured a total of nine shots on the game, four being on goal.  

For the Panthers, they shared a total of 14 shots, seven of them being on goal.

The Black and Gold will return home to face off against the Cedarville Yellow Jackets in Panther Stadium at 7 PM this Saturday.
