COLUMBUS, Ohio -Â The Ohio Dominican women's basketball team faced off against the Clarion Eagles in a Sunday matchup at Alumni Hall. Despite a hard-fought contest through three quarters, the Panthers fell short, losing 77-64 after a dominant fourth quarter by Clarion.Â

Gabby Stare led Ohio Dominican with a standout performance, recording 20 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks. Stare was efficient, shooting 7-of-12 from the field and 6-of-7 from the free throw line.Â
First Quarter:Â
The game began evenly, with both teams exchanging baskets. Ohio Dominican shot 35.71% from the field but only managed 50% from the free throw line. Clarion capitalized slightly better, shooting 41.18% from the field and converting a perfect 100% at the charity stripe. The quarter ended tied at 16-16.Â
Second Quarter:Â
Ohio Dominican took control in the second quarter, improving their field goal percentage to 38.10%, while Clarion's accuracy dropped to 27.78%. Despite ODU's strong play, the half ended in another tie, 32-32.Â
Third Quarter:Â
Coming out of halftime, both teams traded baskets again, each scoring 15 points in the quarter. Ohio Dominican maintained a 40% shooting rate from the field, including 40% from beyond the arc, but Clarion stayed close by shooting 66.67% from the free throw line. The game remained deadlocked at 47-47 entering the fourth quarter.Â
Fourth Quarter:Â
Clarion found their stride in the final quarter, shooting an impressive 64.29% from the field and a clutch 10-of-14 from the free throw line. Ohio Dominican struggled to keep pace, shooting just 36.84% from the field and going cold from three-point range (0-of-7). Clarion pulled away late, securing the win 77-64.Â

With the loss, Ohio Dominican falls to 3-3 on the season as they prepare to begin Great Midwest Athletic Conference play. The Panthers will travel to Hillsdale, Michigan, to face the Chargers on Thursday, December 5th, at 5:30 PM inside the Dawn Tibbetts Potter Arena.Â
