Men's Soccer Downs Dragons in Huge 2-0 Win

Box Score COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio Dominican men's soccer team hosted the 16th-ranked Tiffin Dragons at Panther Stadium last night for a G-MAC matchup, emerging victorious with a 2-0 shutout. This win marked the Panthers' first of the season and handed Tiffin their first conference loss. 

Tiffin had not allowed a goal since September 21st, when they faced Malone University. The match was tightly contested, with Ohio Dominican out-shooting the Dragons 10 to 9 and earning five shots on goal compared to Tiffin's four. 

The first half saw both teams engage in a physical battle, accumulating a total of 28 fouls. In the 41st minute, Tiffin's Amara Kamara received a yellow card, granting Ohio Dominican a penalty kick opportunity. Freshman Mamadou Sow stepped up and expertly placed the ball into the bottom left corner, giving the Panthers a 1-0 lead heading into halftime. 

In the second half, Ohio Dominican intensified their offensive efforts while maintaining strong defense. Sow struck again in the 71st minute, securing a 2-0 lead with his second goal of the match. With this performance, he now leads the team with five goals in his inaugural season. Goalkeeper Gannon Graf snuck in four saves, allowing zero goals.
