TIFFIN, Ohio -Â Â The ladies of the Ohio Dominican soccer team traveled to Tiffin yesterday (October 11) to face the Dragons for the second time in just eight days.
In sweeping fashion, the Panthers came away with another 2-1 win to complete the series. Ohio Dominican finished the win with eleven shots, five being on goal. Tiffin matched with 11 shots, only four being on goal. Â
The scoring started early to begin the game, with a goal just nearing the 5th minute by Tiffin Sam McPhee, assisted by Mackenzie Borden. The Dragons took the first lead of the game, 1-0. Â
Nearing the first half of play, Ohio Dominican fired off an equalizer goal from forward Carmen Morris at the 29th minute to even the score 1-1 before halftime.Â
The second half started with both teams defending their net majority of the time, until Ohio Dominican connected a sneaky goal from Panther Jordyn Bena nearing the 82nd minute, assist by junior Devin Schoenberger. The Panthers took the lead 2-1 and held off the Dragons for the remainder of the 90 minutes. Â
The Panthers have recorded three straight wins and currently sit at third in the G-MAC standings. Â
