COLUMBUS, Ohio – After a six day break, the Ohio Dominican men's soccer team return to Panther Stadium for the third home game in a row. This Saturday the Panthers will open up Great Midwest Athlete Conference play by hosted the Trojans of Trevecca Nazarene.
The Black and Gold concluded opening weekend with a 0-2 record. They were bested by regional opponent McKendree, 2-0, last Thursday and by MEC institution #23 Notre Dame (OH), 3-1, on Saturday.

Leading the way for the Panthers is
Mubelele Mhango (Blantyre, Malawi) after scoring within the last 30 seconds in Saturday's game. The junior played for five minutes, scoring off of one shot to put ODU on the board and collect his first career goal of the season. Freshman
Evan French (Canal Winchester, Ohio) recorded his first career assist on Saturday as well.
In the net, senior
Cory Pulles (Pickerington, Ohio) tallied eight saves over the opening weekend. Pulles allowed five goals while facing 19 shots. Forward
Amadou Mamadou (Columbus, Ohio) leads the team with four shots, two on goal.
About Trevecca Nazarene
The Trojans are 1-2 in the first week of the season with their most recent loss coming from Union University on Wednesday evening, 2-1.
TNU swept the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Athletes of the Week for men's soccer this week with goalkeeper Giuliano Palma and Marlon Grossman. Palma was Defensive Athlete of the Week after recording a shutout in a 4-0 victory against Shorter and totaling three saves.
Grossman won Offensive Athlete of the Week after netting seven points on two matches. The senior scored three goals in one assist and leads the conference in goals and points.
The Panthers are currently 6-3 against the Trojans, winning four of the last five meetings. Trevecca defeated Ohio Dominican in Nashville last season, 3-0.
