Box Score COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican women's basketball team hosted Lake Erie College for their Play 4 Kay game on Thursday evening. The Storm blew by the Panthers in a down to the wire match-up, 78-71.

- For the second game in a row, Gabby Stare (Newark, Ohio) posted 20+ points with a 25 point performance tonight. The junior went 11-12 from the charity stripe and snagged seven boards.
- Following Stare was freshman Logan Pride (Twinsburg, Ohio) with 17 points. Pride grabbed seven rebounds, three assists, and went 8-9 from the floor.
- Fellow freshman, Macy Chapman (Hilliard, Ohio), added eight points and went a perfect 4-4 from the free-throw line. Chapman led the way with eight boards, five assists, and four steals.
- Guard Sarah Ochs (Beavercreek, Ohio) netted six points and dished out three assists.
- As a team, Ohio Dominican outrebounded Lake Erie 31-27, with a 9-4 edge on the offensive board.
How It Happened
- The Panthers won the jump ball and score first off a Madelyn Fearon (Greenville, Ohio) three to begin the game. The Black and Gold went up 16-8 with 4:00 minutes remaining in the opening period. The Storm ended on a 7-2 scoring run to cut their deficit to one, 25-24.
- In the second quarter, LEC gained a 41-32 lead after going on a 12-2 rally through the first six minutes. Kayla McClendon (Columbus, Ohio) netted a layup late in the quarter, but the Panthers went into the break trailing 48-34.
- The Black and Gold came out of the break with back-to-back buckets from Fearon and Pride to ship into the LEC lead. ODU ending the third quarter on an 11-7 run of their own, going 7-7 from the charity stripe. The Panthers were still behind 62-52 going into the final 10 minutes.
- The Storm and the Panthers exchanged baskets over the course of the first five minutes, bringing Ohio Dominican's deficit to as low as five. ODU answered with six consecutive points, putting them within four with 0:38 remaining. A last second layup from Pride wasn't enough as the Storm took home a 78-71 win.
