COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican women's basketball team opens up Great Midwest Athletic Conference play on Thursday evening at Cedarville University. The Panthers will then travel north to Hillsdale College on Saturday afternoon.

The Black and Gold move to 2-2 on the year after falling to Mercyhurst University, 60-48, on Thanksgiving Eve and defeating Notre Dame College on Sunday, 79-73.
Senior
Gabby Stare (Newark, Ohio) led the way in both games for the Panthers, grabbing 22 points against the Lakers and 24 against the Falcons. Stare shot 64.3 percent from the field and 90.9 percent from the charity stripe through both games. The Ohio native continues to lead the conference, averaging 18.8 points per game and playing 36.3 minutes per game.
In her first two games this season, freshman
La'Sonja Hill (Cincinnati, Ohio) averaged 12.5 points per game after recording a career high of 20 points on Sunday afternoon. She went 5-8 from behind the arc including 4-5 in the win against Notre Dame.
Guard
Brynn Mullet (Berlin, Ohio) follows with a season average of 8.0 points per game after her 10 point performance on Sunday. Mullet averages 3.0 rebounds and is shooting 50.0 percent from behind the arc, tied for second in the G-MAC. Freshman
Jenna Shackleford (Newark, Ohio) was the last player to net double figure points against NDC with 13. Shackleford leads the team in rebounding, averaging 5.0 boards per game.
As a team, the Black and Gold are shooting 46.4 percent from the field and 35.3 percent from behind the arc, sitting in third in both categories in the conference. The Panthers average 9.5 steals per game along with 12.5 assists and 29.5 rebounds.
About Cedarville
The Yellow Jackets are 1-3 overall heading into Thursday's matchup with the Panthers. This season, Cedarville welcomed newly appointed head coach, Addy Miller, to the helm of the Yellow Jackets.
 Junior KaCee Kyle leads the way for CU, averaging 14.5 points per game through their four games. Kyle is shooting 38.9 percent from the field and 76.9 percent from the charity stripe this winter. Following her is Lydia Sweeney, averaging 12.5 points per game. Sweeney averages 3.3 rebounds per game and has dished out 12 total assists.
As a team, Cedarville averages 56.5 points per game, allowing their opponents to average 70.8 points per game. They are shooting 33.8 percent from the field, 24.2 percent from the three-point line, and 66.7 percent from the free throw line. The Yellow Jackets currently lead the Division II Era All-Time series 10-6, while being 5-2 on their home court.
About Hillsdale
Under first time head coach, Brianna Brennan, the Chargers are 3-4 on the season. They fell at home to Saginaw Valley State, 55-45, on Tuesday evening.
Senior, Sydney Mills leads the way for HC, averaging 13.8 points per game and 9.5 rebounds per game. Mills was recognized as the G-MAC Athlete of the Week for the week of November 20. Following Mills is Caitlin Splain with 13.0 points per game and Lauren McDonald, an Air Force transfer, with 11.7 points per game.
As a team, the Chargers average 66.3 points per game while only giving up 64.5 points per game. They are shooting 38.9 percent from the field and 31.6 percent from behind the arc. Last season, Hillsdale just took over the lead in the Division II Era All-Time series, 12-11.Inside Dawn Tibbetts Potter Arena, the Chargers are 6-5 against the Panthers.
