COLUMBUS, Ohio – On Tuesday evening, the Ohio Dominican men's soccer team takes one last road trip to wrap up the regular season. The Panthers head south to Crestview Hills, Kentucky to meet up with the Saints of Thomas More for the second time this season.
About Ohio Dominican
Last week, the Black and Gold went 0-2 to move to 2-9-4 overall and 2-7-4 in the conference. On Tuesday, ODU fell 4-2 at Lake Erie. A few days later, they dropped another road match, 6-0, at Walsh.
At Jack Britt Memorial Stadium, freshman
Evan French (Canal Winchester, Ohio) netted his third goal of the season. Off a penalty, sophomore
Jack Jenkins (Canal Winchester, Ohio) registered his second goal of the fall. Ten different Panthers have connected with the back of the net with
Mubelele Mhango (Blantyre, Malawi) leading the way with four.
Over the weekend, both
Cory Pulles (Pickerington, Ohio) and
Gannon Graf (North Olmsted, Ohio) saw time between the posts for the Black and Gold. Against the Storm, Pulles grabbed five saves, bringing him to 54 on the season. Against the Cavaliers, Graf snagged three to give him 12 this fall.
About Thomas More
The Saints go into Tuesday with an 8-7-2 overall record and a 6-5-2 mark in the Great Midwest during their first season with the conference. TMU sits at fourth in the standings with 20 points after drawing with Trevecca Nazarene on Saturday.
For the Saints, 12 different members have connected with the back of the net. Sophomore, Julen van Egmond leads with four goals and four assists. Karim Slim and Ali Kazim Nakhid each join Egmond with four goals while Slim also adds an assist.
In between the posts is sophomore Emilio Benmergui Rodriguez. The goalkeeper has started in 16 contests, collecting 56 saves and a 1.54 GAA on the season.
In the first meeting back on Sept. 20, the Panthers defeated the Saints, 1-0, with a last-minute goal from
Amadou Mamadou (Columbus, Ohio). This will be the second time the two have met in the Division II Era.

Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM from Republic Bank Field in Crestview Hills, Ky. on Tuesday.
