COLUMBUS, Ohio – This week, the Ohio Dominican men's soccer team will play host on Thursday before hitting the Music City on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers welcome the Timberwolves then visit the Trojans for a second meeting with both opponents.
About Ohio Dominican
The Black and Gold are 1-6-3 overall and 1-4-3 in conference play after dropping their Homecoming match to Tiffin, 4-1. The Panthers sit 11
th in the standings with six points.
On Saturday, freshman
Evan French (Canal Winchester, Ohio) became the third player to have two goals on the season. In the process,
Mubelele Mhango (Blantrye, Malawi) recorded his first assist of the season. French currently leads with two goals and two assists.
Returning between the posts was
Cory Pulles (Pickerington, Ohio). The senior now has 31 saves on the season. He posts a 2.47 GAA in his seven games.
About Northwood
The Timberwolves are 3-6-3 overall with a 2-4-2 mark in the G-MAC, placing them in ninth place with eight points. Northwood went 1-1 on the week with a 2-1 loss to Thomas More and a 4-1 victory at Malone.
Leading the way for the Timbies and the G-MAC is Oliver Jarvis with nine goals on the season. Jarvis averages 1.58 goals per game and has an assist as well. Senior Amedeo Crovasce has three goals and a team high of four assists.
NU keeper, Robert Gjelaj, posts a conference high of 71 saves, averaging 6.45 saves per game. Gjelaj has a 1.77 GAA and a .798 save percentage.
In their first meeting of the season two weeks ago, the Timberwolves downed the Panthers 2-0 at their place. The Black and Gold are now 5-10-2 against Northwood, with the Timbies winning eight of the last nine meetings.
About Trevecca Nazarene
The Trojans have an overall record of 3-7-1 and a conference record of 2-5-1, placing them one spot ahead of Ohio Dominican in 10
th. Recently, Trevecca went 0-2 with losses at Findlay, 1-0, and Cedarville, 4-2.
With a team high of four goals and three assists is Marlon Grossman. Grossman has 27 shots including 13 on goal. Following him is Connor Lundy and Jacob Sieber with two goals and an assist each.
Adan Gonzalez and Giuliano Palma has split time in the goal. Gonzalez has acquired 26 saves in eight games and a 1.65 GAA. Palma has snagged 11 saves in four games and a 1.33 GAA.
In the first meeting, the two drew at 2-2 bringing the overall record between the two 6-3-1 with the Panthers ahead. TNU host Malone before welcoming Ohio Dominican.
Game Times
The Panthers and the Timberwolves kick off at 5:00 PM at Panther Stadium on Thursday. The Black and Gold then play at 1:00 PM at Trevecca Soccer Complex against the Trojans.
