Box Score COLUMBUS, Ohio – To kick off Homecoming weekend, the Ohio Dominican volleyball team hosted Findlay on Friday evening, falling to the Oilers in a hard fought four sets.

- Junior libero Alexis Keipert (Burlington, Ky.) recorded a new career-high with 18 digs in the match.
- Olivia Kirksey (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) registered her fifth double-double of the season with 17 kills and 17 digs.
- At the net, middle blocker Grace Zinchuk (Schaumberg, Ill.) led the Panthers with four blocks. Fellow middle Jenna Peters (Vermilion, Ohio) and Kirksey both added three blocks.
- Freshman Saige Avery (Yorkville, Ill.) also set a career-high after collecting 45 assists in tonight's contest.
- Lauren Lucas (Grove City, Ohio) tallied 13 kills for the Black and Gold.
How It Happened
- ODU jumped out to an 8-2 lead over the Oilers in the first set.
- The Panthers extended their lead to 15-7 with blocks from Zinchuk, Peters, and Avery, as well as a service ace from Kamryn Maxwell (Norwalk, Ohio).
- Findlay responded with a six-point run of their own, bringing the score to 15-13.
- Kira Appeman (Norwalk, Ohio) collected a service ace to push the lead to 21-16.
- Kirksey ended the first set with a kill (25-20) giving the Black and Gold a one set lead.
- UF and ODU went back-and-forth in set two. A kill from Norah Painter gave the Oilers a 6-5 lead.
- Ohio Dominican capitalized on errors and tied the match at 12-all.
- Findlay went on a 4-1 run, leading 16-13.
- The Panthers responded with three-points in a row, tying the match 16-all.
- The Oilers won six of the last eight points to take set two, 25-20.
- ODU found themselves behind 6-4 after a kill from Journey Blevins.
- UF went on a six-point run extending their lead 15-9.
- The Black and Gold collected six of the next eight points to cut their deficit to 17-15.
- Maxwell collects a kill late but the Panthers drop set three 25-21. Findlay leads 2-1.
- To open the fourth set, ODU took an early lead 6-4.
- The Panthers extended their lead 11-9 after a service ace from Kelsey Shoup (Dalton, Ohio).
- Findlay regained the lead after a 12-2 run, bringing the score to 22-14.
- Peters, Lucas, and Kirksey all grabbed kills late, but Ohio Dominican lost the set 25-17. Findlay won the match 3-1.
