Box Score COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican men's soccer team hosted Lake Erie on Thursday (Sept. 22) evening. The match ends in a 1-1 draw.
Lake Erie fired off the first shot in the 3rd minute missing high. Khalif Hassan (Columbus, Ohio) returned fire in the 8th minute, missing wide. In the 11th minute, Jacob Gruber (Westerville, Ohio) forced the Storm keeper to collect a save.
The Panthers were awarded a penalty kick in the 17th minute. Hassan converted the kick to open the scoring, grabbing the lead for the Black and Gold, 1-0.
Lake Erie retaliated in the 29th minute with a shot from Conner Mautino. Junior keeper Cory Pulles (Pickerington, Ohio) was there to collect his first save of the night. The Storm registered three shots late but missed the mark.
After the break, Shingai Nindi (Shanghai, China) opened with a shot wide right in the 54th minute. Teddy Baker tied it up at 1-all in the 56th minute when he connected with the bottom left of the net.
Pulles collected another save in the 80th minute, ending the game in a 1-1 draw.
