Box Score CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – The Ohio Dominican volleyball team grabbed another road win on Tuesday evening defeating Thomas More in four sets.
In a back-and-forth game, the Panthers topped the Saints in four sets by a score of 25-22, 21-25, 26-24, and 25-19. Ohio Dominican improves to 3-2 on the season.

- Olivia Kirksey (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) had another double-double night with 18 kills and 11 digs.
- Freshman Ashley Aselage (Tipp City, Ohio) collected 12 kills.
- Libero Kelsey Shoup (Dalton, Ohio) is up to 57 digs on the season after collecting 14 on the night.
- Lauren Lucas (Grove City, Ohio) added 10 kills and two blocks in the team win.
- Freshman setters Gabrielle Kirker (Tallmadge, Ohio) and Saige Avery (Yorkville, Ill.) continue to tally up the assists. Kirker registers a personal best of 30 with Avery collecting 12.
How It Happened
- The Black and Gold collected the first two points but quickly found themselves behind 4-2 after a 4-point swing for the Saints.
- ODU regained the lead with a run of their own making it 8-7.
- After falling behind by five points, the Panthers take the last six points to win set one 25-22.
- Similar to set one, Ohio Dominican found themselves behind in set two 7-5.
- The Black and Gold brought it to 13-all after kills from Lucas and Kirksey.
- The Saints won five of the last seven points, taking set two 25-21 over the Panthers.
- ODU came out strong in set three grabbing the lead early 4-2.
- TMU answered with a five-point run extending their lead 7-4.
- The Saints and the Panthers went back-and-forth for eight ties and four lead changes bring the score to 22-all.
- With a service ace from Kirker and kills from Lucas, Kirksey, and Aselage, Ohio Dominican pushes past Thomas More, winning set three 26-24, taking the lead two sets to one.
- The Black and Gold took 10 of the first 15 points in set four (10-5).
- With never trailing in the fourth set, the Panthers won 25-19 ending on a kill from Aselage.
Up Next
Ohio Dominican travels to Indianapolis for a four-game stretch beginning on Friday, Sept. 2 where they play UIndy at 12 PM and again at 5:30 PM against Grand Valley State. The Panthers will face Bentley at 1 PM and UMSL at 7 PM on Saturday.
