106 Ohio Dominican Student-Athletes Earn Academic All-Great Midwest Honors

INDIANAPOLIS -- A total of 106 Ohio Dominican University student-athletes received academic recognition from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference on Thursday, June 30, for their excellence in the classroom during the 2021-22 year. 

To earn G-MAC All-Academic recognition, a student-athlete must have a minimum of a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average on the 4.00 scaling system. Overall, a conference-record 2,376 student-athletes received all-academic honors in 2021-22. A total of 120 student-athletes in the G-MAC earned a 4.00 GPA, including Abbey Dillon (Bolivar, Ohio)Travis Whittaker (Gahanna, Ohio) and Bailey Williams (Dublin, Ohio) from Ohio Dominican. 

The 106 ODU student-athletes honored are the third most in the athletic department's now five-year membership in the G-MAC (154, 2019-20; 149, 2020-21). The 2021-22 academic year also marked the third straight year ODU compiled over 100 student-athletes on the G-MAC All-Academic team. Since joining the conference in 2017-18, the Panthers have a total of 581 Academic All-GMAC award winners. 

Of the Panther honorees, 61 came from men's and 45 from the women's programs. Baseball had the most honorees for ODU with 17. Soccer led the women's side with a total of 16.
